          Sorry for not writing sooner, but with the holidays going on we all have
been extremely busy. I know that all my readers have been waiting anxiously
for my next column.

I must first congratulate all of the Phillies fans out there. I know of only one
but there must be others!!! The Phillies did a great job in knocking off the
hated Tampa Bay Rays, and are to be commended as World Series Champions.
A special high five for Alex Walter for sticking with his Phillies.

Three time Nascar Champion Jimmie Johnson and his Chevy Loews crew
must be praised for there outstanding effort this year. As I have stated before,
the most difficult thing in sports is to repeat as champion, and Jimmie
has done it three times. With the competition level where it is today in Nascar,
they should be extremely proud.

My New York Football Giants seem to be on a nice roll, (although some
of them like to shoot themselves in the leg). And even the surprising Jets
are showing signs of being playoff bound. With the playoffs only a few
weeks ahead there is plenty of room for many teams to make the big dance.

I promised you some Basketball this time, so here goes. My loyalty
reverts back to New England for this one. It would be extremely difficult to
grow up in the Boston area and not root for the Boston Celtics. I have
had many enjoyable evenings at not only the TD Bank Arena, but at
the old Boston Garden. My history with the Celtics goes back to Bob Cousy
and company. With that said you can only imagine my excitement when the
Celtics won the Championship last year. They appear to be on their way to try that
most difficult of all....Repeat!!!!
